Cati listens only when your child is invited to respond. Every interaction happens within stories and conversations designed specifically for kids - keeping the experience safe, age-appropriate, and intentional.
The microphone only opens for a few seconds when it's your child's turn to speak, capturing only the words needed for the interaction.
Cati only talks about topics you approve. No open-ended web searches or unrestricted conversations - interactions stay within approved, kid-focused content.
Stories, prompts, and responses are created with early childhood development in mind and reviewed by real people before use.
Cati does not send or transfer your child’s chat history to third-party processors.

Frequently asked questions
No. There is no always-on microphone. Cati speaks first, and the mic opens only while it is your child’s turn to answer - for a few seconds - then closes again. It is not listening between turns.
Conversations are not shared with third parties. Cati is not routing your child’s speech through someone else’s general-purpose AI service.
Cati doesn’t generate its answers on the fly. Its conversations are written and reviewed by early-childhood educators in advance, and it only talks about the topics you turn on in the app.
No. Cati pairs with your phone over Bluetooth, so it works in the car, on a plane, at grandma’s house - anywhere your phone goes.
No. Cati does not require a subscription - new modules, content, and feature updates are added through the app without a recurring fee.
Cati is designed for ages 2–5. Your child doesn’t need to speak fluently to play - if they don’t answer or Cati doesn’t understand their response, the guided activity continues with a built-in response so they can keep following along.
